Faces display of Guerry data
Guerry data, shown by a faces display by region of France.
- The variables in the Guerry dataset
were assigned to facial features in an essentially arbitrary way,
but so that regions with better outcomes would appear happier
than those with worse outcomes.
- The facesmacro allows different
variables to be assigned to the left-half and right-half of faces,
but here the same variables were assigned to both halves.
- The location of panels in the display corresponds roughly to
geography.
